Air Fryer Onion Pakoda
Rich in fiber and protein with no gluten
Ingredients
Medium Onion – 1 (thinly sliced)
Green chili – 1 (finely chopped)
Curry leaves – 1 sprig chopped
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Besan/Chickpea flour – 3/4 – 1 cup (use as needed)
Cilantro chopped – 2 tbsp
Water – 2-3 tbsps
Coconut oil or avocado oil – 2 tsps
Salt – 1/2 tsp or to taste
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer at 360 degrees (182 Celsius) for 5 mins.
Mix all the ingredients together except water.
If required, slowly add water tbsp by tbsp, mix the ingredients so that the onions get nicely coated with the flour and spices.
The mixture should be sticky and wet.
Place an aluminum foil in the air fryer basket.
Grease the foil with oil.
Now spread the mixture onto the foil into a single thin layer.
Spray the top of mixture with oil.
Fry the pakora for 15 mins at 400 degrees (204 Celsius).
Halfway remove the foil and let the pakodas fry on the basket itself, this makes them more crispy.
Remove and transfer the crispy pakodas to a serving plate and serve hot with ketchup.
