Air Fryer Plantain chips
Rich in resistant starch, a type of fiber that benefits gut health
Ingredients
Plantain – 1 large
Coconut oil – 1 tsp
Sea salt – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp + 1 tsp (to soak the peeled plantain)
Water – medium bowl of water to soak the peeled plantain
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees (176 Celsius)
Cut the ends of the plantain and peel it.
Mix turmeric and salt to a bowl of water and add the peeled plantain and let it soak for around 5-10 minutes.
Pat the plantain dry and slice it on a mandoline or use a knife.
Coat the slices with a mixture of coconut oil and turmeric.
Place the slices inside the basket of the air fryer.
Cook for about 10 minutes. If they need additional time leave on for another 5 minutes.
Sprinkle some sea salt and enjoy!
